FROM DIANNE
"I highly recommend Emily as your doula, I could never sing her praises high enough. I do not know what I would have done without Emily at my birth. She was such a blessing and so fantastic, guessing my every need, staying fully attentive and present to me. I had a long twenty one hour natural labor which unfortunately ended in a c-section and Emily was there through all of it. Her dedication and attention to me during my labor was so helpful and it really kept me positive through the experience. Using her bag of tricks, yoga training, and birthing methods she is able to keep you focused on your breath, suggest other techniques to get you through the tough contractions, and also uses massage for the various parts of your body that really need it. Emily was the most supportive, accommodating, caring and valuable part of the birthing team, I would not want to go through labor again without her! She is also very respectful of you, the hospital staff, and your family; making everyone feel comfortable in her presence. She is a beautiful soul and anyone who has her present at one of the most divine experiences of a woman's life is extremely blessed."

FROM LOCAL BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHER
"...this is the first birth that I had the joy of working with doula, Emily Bessey. When Noelle first started telling me about Emily she said I would love her and she was right! Her demeanor, her calming voice, she was awesome during the entire birth, but especially when things got very intense. She was cool, calm and collected and knew exactly how to support Noelle and her husband. I was impressed! If you are in the Austin area and looking for a doula, I highly recommend her, I’d hire her in a heartbeat, except for I’m done birthing babies. I would love to have her come talk me down and keep me sane when the 5 o’clock witching hour hits with my three kids though…now there is an idea…a parenting doula! an untapped market!!"
